Join the Mazzoni Duo as they explore “The Ties That Bind” through masterworks written and transcribed for flute and piano by Bach, Pärt, Debussy, and more. Themes of love, passion, and brotherhood emerge through the textures, melodies, and spirit of these captivating pieces.
Partners in music and in life, Jennifer and Matthew Mazzoni have been performing together in venues nationally and internationally for over 15 years. Matt is from Pennsylvania and studied at the University of Michigan before meeting Jennifer, who is a Saint Louis native, at Indiana University. Praised for their ‘fluid and seamless blending’ of both sound and expressive ideas, they are prizewinners of the 2013 St. Louis Artist Presentation Society and have released 2 CD recordings of original sacred arrangements and classical repertoire.
